The Inaugural Junior Golf Tournament will cap off the Clinics for the calendar year. Hosted by The Lakes Teaching Academy, this is the first time an event of this nature has been done at the Club and will be played on Sunday 17th December, 2017. It will be hosted by Head Teaching Professional Christian Small and Teaching Professional, Charles Kares.
This event is to celebrate the culmination of the yearly calendar of Junior clinics and to transfer the skills learnt on the practice facilities to the golf course.
The tournament will commence at 2pm with a BBQ Lunch on the upstairs terrace overlooking the 18th green and practice facilities. A welcome pack will be available for all attendees that will outline our 2018 Junior Program. This will also provide an opportunity for parents and kids to meet The Lakes Teaching Academy staff. The Tournament itself will directly follow the BBQ Lunch at 3pm off the 1st tee.
The Ages of Kids who are encouraged to attend are between 5 and 12 years old. A 3 & 5 Hole tournament will run and will be based on skill level. A modified golf course will be set-up and play will be off the white markers. Parents of Juniors are welcome to attend and caddy for their child. Dress Regulations must be adhered to.
Costings are $15 per child for Members and $30 per child for Non-Members which will cover lunch, golf and prizes.
